9 Lodging and places to stay in Twin Falls, Idaho
Twin Falls is the 6th largest city in the State of Idaho. It is considered the hub of the "Magic Valley". Twin Falls was founded in 1904 to serve as a hub for a new irrigation project made possible under the Carey Act. The Carey Act encouraged settlers to file on 160 acre tracts at $25 per acre. Money from the sale of these parcels was used to build a canal to carry water from the Snake River. This changed the high plains desert into fertile farm land.

Twin Falls offers various outdoor recreational activities and is also the home of the College of Southern Idaho. While in Twin Falls you can go boating or whitewater rafting on the Snake River, golf, hike, mountain bike, snowmobile and Nordic ski. You can also visit the famous Shoshone Falls "the Niagara of the West," the City of Rocks and the Sawtooth National Forest. The city of Twin Falls has something to offer to visitors of every age.
