About Victor:
Teton Valley lies along the eastern border of Idaho, snug against the 13,000' peaks of the Grand Teton range. The communities of Driggs, Victor, Tetonia and others share the Teton Mountain Range with the neighboring valley to the east, Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Folks describe Teton Valley as "the quiet side of the Tetons." Victor is located 8.5 miles north of Driggs, 14.9 miles northwest of Tetonia, 19.7 miles from Teton Village, 27 miles from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, 42 miles from Ricks College in Rexburg, 68 miles from Idaho Falls, 75 miles from Yellowstone National Park and 107 miles from Idaho State University in Pocatello. The community of Victor was named for George Victor Sherwood, a mail carrier who delivered mail despite threats of Indian attack. Present day Victor is nicknamed "A town to come home to since 1889." Outdoor activities abound including golfing, horseback riding, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, whitewater rafting and so much more. |
